Chinese jujube ripens in august just before the jewish new year.
The fruit is known in the middle east, the balkan countries, northe africa, russia, usa and especialy china and korea
In the far east most of the fruit is sold dry and used in the traditional medicine
for relaxetion, insomia and blood problems and is used forsweetening food.
